Hey, I'm Abenezer — Software Engineering Student

Systems, Support
& Infrastructure

Fourth-year Software Engineering student seeking roles as an IT Support Analyst, Service Desk Analyst, or Junior Systems Administrator. Two internship terms of issue triage, QA testing, and technical investigation, plus a hands-on homelab where I troubleshoot networks from the packet level up.

Now — running homelab01: Ubuntu, Pi-hole, Tailscale

Seneca Polytechnic campus

From software to systems.

I'm a fourth-year Software Engineering student at Seneca Polytechnic, working where hardware meets the web. I build embedded systems in C and FreeRTOS and full-stack applications with React, Flask, and PostgreSQL, and I've spent two internship terms at GGF International shipping and testing features on a live platform. Lately I've been sharpening my data analytics skills through industry job simulations with Deloitte and BCG X.

Outside of that, I'm focused on infrastructure and automation: if I do something twice, I start looking for a way to script it. I run an Ubuntu homelab that I manage over SSH and Tailscale, where I capture and analyze traffic with tcpdump and Wireshark, run Pi-hole for DNS, and script network triage in PowerShell.

Where I've worked

Two internship terms building and testing software in production settings.

Product Engineering Intern — GGF International

June 2026 – August 2026

Supporting feature planning and quality across a live platform, working across front-end and back-end feature work alongside QA testing, usability review, and cross-team reporting.

  • Queried and maintained structured issue records in JIRA's underlying database across 40+ items per release cycle, supporting triage, escalation, and fix validation through database management and technical analysis.
  • Executed structured QA testing across web and mobile features, documenting reproducible defects and validating fixes to support product-quality and release readiness.
  • Authored weekly status reports and stakeholder presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, summarizing release activity, defect trends, and product-quality findings for cross-functional teams.

Full Stack Developer Intern — GGF International

May 2025 – August 2025

Built and validated backend features end-to-end, translating business requirements into working REST APIs across six Agile sprints.

  • Collaborated with subject-matter experts and stakeholders across six Agile sprints to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring solutions were documented and validated prior to development.
  • Configured four REST API integration points using efficient, well-structured, and maintainable workflow principles, supporting system integration within a production e-Business application; structured test coverage contributed to an approximately 30% reduction in reported bugs.
